SCW returns to Green Night with the launch of the short film documentary & complementary book publication "Our Tribes - Our Heritage". Over 276,000 indigenous peoples (IPs) are estimated to live in Cambodia. Discover the life of the minority groups Brao, Kavet, Kreung and Khmer-Lao. Learn about the threats they face as well as their livelihoods, customs and religious beliefs. Join the Q&A with IP representatives, and explore SCW's interactive presentations, environmental education books, games and afree goodie bag. The dedicated environmentalists of local NGO SAVE CAMBODIA’S WILDLIFE (SCW) launch the short film documentary & complementary book publication “OUR TRIBES – OUR HERITAGE”. Over 276,000 members of indigenous peoples are estimated to live in Cambodia, mainly in Ratanakiri and Mondulkiri provinces. Discover the life of the minority groups Brao, Kavet, Kreung and Khmer-Lao, whose individual customs and practices are slowly disappearing. Learn about the threats they face as well as their livelihoods, customs and religious beliefs; and the importance of the forest and natural resources to them. Discover animism, traditional handicrafts and beauty ideals as well as rural village life. Don’t miss the Meta House premiere of this exciting project! Hear the voices of indigenous peoples themselves, who will join the event for a Q&A. Explore SCW’s interactive presentations, accompanied by environmental education books, games and free goodie bags. The launch is accompanied by an exhibition of photos from the book by Cambodian photographer Alex Buntha Thoeurng.
